还是packet.sys的问题

从ntsniff解包有packet.sys packet32.dll oemsetup.inf等文件，从控制面板--网络--添加协议--从磁盘安装，选oemsetup.inf，出现“在指定位置找不到硬件信息”的对话框，有回到了从磁盘安装，结果就是装不上packet.sys ，我参看了本论坛的一些文章，还是没办法，各位给点意见。

你是不是在98下安装该驱动？我没有看到你说的那个INF文件，我看了以下ntddk下的packet.inf，那个inf只支持NT4和WIN2000，在98下是无法安装的.

9x下如果想要抓包，我推荐一个东西。

记得还在97年的时候，也许是98年初，我记不太清楚了，
当时网上流行一个东西，叫做ipman，不知道你听说过
没有。ipman利用vpacket.vxd抓包，也是一个协议驱动
程序。vpacket不需要安装。vpacket是一个澳大利亚
人写的，我印象中那是我第一次看到类似的东西。vpacket
有source，ipman是当时清华bbs上的hint写的(好像是这个
名字，我记不太清楚了，readme说得到yujj的帮助，
这个名字我也记不太清楚了，只记得yujj是hacker
版的版主，我记得那个时候他的名字叫作闭关修炼
GRE中，后来他到美国去了。)IPMAN也有source，所以
是一个非常好的学习材料。ipman里面的代码风格象
posix风格。此外，ntddk里面的packet32.dll只提供
同步io，ipman是一个异步io的好例子，不过现在已经
有了complete io，用这个效率还会更高些。

总的来说，ipman的recvpacket函数写的非常不错，
至少那个时候给我帮助很大。回想起来，那个时候
的bbs真是高人辈出，令人怀念不已。

其实我要更正一下,我这里所说的packet.sys不是ntddk里带的那个例子,我这里指的是有澳大利亚的一个大学开发出来的一个包,98下的vpacket.vxd就是他们的.最近几天通过试验,我发现他在nt4.0下,安装一起ok,但是在2000下就不行.不知道有没有那位同仁在2000下用过.

看了一下，这个inf文件是一个典型的nt4 ddk inf文件的格式。如果想在win98或win2000下用（这两个操作系统下，inf大多可公用，如果网络结构有问题当然就不行）就要重写inf文件。应该要比这个inf简单。

经过比较发现2000和98，nt在注册表有关硬件的id有不同。一般出现“在指定位置找不到硬件信息”的错误，主要是inf文件里硬件id在注册表找不到。在2000里id 是*-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318，*是8位数代表不同的硬件，比如4d36e975-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318是有关网络过滤方面的。所以如果一个驱动是为nt写的，在2000上就可能会装载不上，我仿照2000ddk里packet的例子，改写了oemsetup.inf，结果就装上了。但是发现不工作，不知道是不是该驱动只为nt写的。
不知道那为大虾在2000下用过他（ntsniff)，还有是不是nt下的驱动都可以直接应用与2000。
