ppp拨号空密码的问题！

由于对方需要chap认证，但是密码为空
所以我在chap-secrets中加入
test *
由于密码为空，*之后为空，但是我用tail -f /var/log/messages中查看日志，
发现认证不成功的原因是对方无法找到密码？对于空密码怎么处理呢？？
