Position:  Member of Technical Staff (MTS) - Simics?
 
Location:  Chengdu
 Backgrounds:
 Wind River is looking for experienced software engineers to join the Simics
development team in Chengdu. Wind River Simics? is the leading Virtualized
Systems Development platform in the market.
 
Responsibilities:
 
•  Design implement Simics device models  
•  Enhance  and expand  existing Simics device models
•  Design, implement and test various parts of Simics Virtual Platforms
•  Technical Leadership skills for small teams of engineers performing the
above tasks
•  Assist project managers in analyzing technical requirements, estimation
and project planning
•  Proposing architecture and high level design and presenting it to
managers, peers, junior team members and customers
•  
•  Ability to contribute to the design and implementation of hardware-
software interfaces
•  Interfacing to various other parts of the company within the Simics
business line and others engineering groups.
 
 
Qualifications:
 
•  Bachelor or above degree with at least 7 years’ embedded related working
experience, including at least 1-2 years’ technical leadership experience
•  High level of self-motivation
•  Strong SW development experience
•  Strong development skills on VxWorks and/or embedded Linux on a BSP
level
•  Experience on at least two (more is preferable) archi
MIPS, PPC and X86
•  Bootloader experience on the above architectures
•  Good understanding on MMU concepts and experience with several MMU
implementations
•  Experience with several types of device drivers (e.g. serial, Ethernet, I2C,
DMA, interrupt controllers, timers etc)
•  Experience with several CM systems (e.g. svn, git, ClearCase, cvs)
•  Strong English communication skills and ability to collaborate with remote
English-speaking teams
•  Prior experience in a “customer facing” role
•  Successful track record of estimation and delivery of projects on time
•  A fast learner
•  Simulation background or familiarity is a plus (QEMU, TLM2, System C
etc)

Position:  Project Manager - Simics?
 
Location:  Chengdu
 
 
Background:
 
Wind River is looking for a manager for our growing Simics development team in
Chengdu. Wind River Simics? is the leading Virtualized Systems Development
platform in the market.
 
 
Responsibilities:
 
1)  MOR for the Chengdu Simics Team:
•  General supervision of the team
•  Work with Simics Engineering management to define, drive and agree
on plans and methods to reach the organization goals
•  Organize and drive the team in order for it meet required results
•  Performance review and development of junior and senior team
members
•  Support in finding and attracting talent
•  Driving and enforcing process for product development and project
execution
•  Supervise product support and sustaining activities
 
2)  PM for engineering activities:
•  Work with Product/Program/Engineering Management to elicit,
understand and analyze requirements, prepare project descriptions,
prepare detailed project schedules, estimate hours, and summarize
project technical risks.
•  Manage and supervise project execution in order to meet goals and
timelines
•  Provide status report on project progress and accurate forecast on
completion dates
 
3)  PM for customer facing projects:
•  Organize a team in order cover presales and execution of customer
requests
•  Work with sales personnel and customers in order to elicit, understand
and analyze requirements
•  Work with Delivery Directors and a technical team to prepare project
descriptions, detailed project schedules, estimate effort and summarize
project technical risks
•  Work with customer to presenting and report status, discuss and agree
on scope
•  Track progress and financials in order to reach the right scope in the
right time in right budget by adapting staffing, scope and timeline
 
 
Qualifications:
 
•  Bachelor or above degree with strong embedded background
•  At least 8 years’ working experience with 3+ years on both team
management and project management
•  Excellent communication skills in English with strong speaking abilities
•  Good sense of direct customer interface
•  A fast learner
•  Simulation background or familiarity is a plus (QEMU, TLM2, System C
etc)
