Responsibilities

This is a SQA Specialist position focused on testing Symantec's market leading Endpoint Security product line. As a member of the team you will be making a substantial impact on the product quality and stability of the Symantec solutions. With minimal supervision, suggest, implement, and evaluate approaches to testing strategies in Windows 2000/2003 environments and across a wide variety of platforms and Symantec products.

Qualification

The successful candidate will have 5 years networking experience with at least plus 3+ years of total SQA experience. Intermediate to expert experience in two or more of the following areas are required: Hands-on knowledge of Windows, technical expertise & experience testing enterprise applications, experience with testing of databases and java applications, Active Directory, LDAP, MSI, network security, knowledge of localization and internationalization. Candidate must have good understanding of quality assurance methods. Strong analytical skills with at least 3 years of technical QA/test experience testing on Windows 2000/2003.

Title: SQA Analyst

You will be responsible for writing and executing test cases for the functionalities of Symantec endpoint security products, including but not limited to firewall, intrusion protection, intrusion detection signature libraries. You will also be assisting the software developers and customer support staff to reproduce customer reported issues from time to time. You will find and report product defects in the bug tracking software and frequently review the status of the bugs filed by you, and ensure the bug status up-to-date until the bug is closed. You may be requested to give presentations to share the information about the work you do to your team. You will be submitting weekly work status reports to your supervisor.

Requirements :
1-2+ years experience in SQA, development, IT applications support, or customer support capacity plus the following:

- knowledge about the firewalls
