在网上看到的有关IBM embedded ppc的消息。
“Boost Embedded Application Performance with New IBM PowerPC Processors EAST FISHKILL, N.Y., March 11, 2002...IBM today, introduced two new fast, flexible, low-power PowerPC processors that will give chip designers a richer mix of features for a broad set of embedded applications. The new chips are a part of the IBM PowerPC 4xx family of integrated 32-bit RISC processors and manufactured on IBM\'s 0.18 micron SA-27e copper process technology. They offer the extra horsepower necessary to improve the performance of a variety of applications, including data storage, imaging, Internet access devices and communication products such as base stations, routers or gateways. The IBM PowerPC 440GP is a superscalar processor with large caches, a 128-bit CoreConnect bus and high performance peripherals, including PCI-X bridge and DDR SDRAM controller. It will be available in 400, 466, and 500 MHz frequencies, and provides 1,000 MIPS performance at 500 MHz. The processor teams with a high bandwidth 4.2 Gb/s on-chip CoreConnect bus, and off- chip interfaces with peak bandwidths of 2.1 Gb/s to DDR memory, and 1.1 Gb/s PCI-X, along with two Ethernets and several other communications interfaces. This powerful processing engine fits into a 25 mm package, offering a compact solution for dense applications. The IBM PowerPC 405GPr embedded processor is a pin-compatible upgrade to the highly successful PowerPC 405GP and offers a new level of performance. Processor speeds have reached 266, 333 and 400 MHz with a typical power dissipation of 1.3 watts for the 333 MHz processor. It also incorporates a PCI interface, an SDRAM controller, a 64-bit on-chip CoreConnect bus, a Fast Ethernet controller and more on-chip peripheral support. IBM will showcase these new solutions in the Embedded Systems Conference in San Francisco at the Moscone Convention Center March 13-15 in booth 910-S, South Hall. ” |
