How about the difference between the emulation and simulation?

Why don\'t you check out dictionary?

This is what I find out from one:

1. emulate:

If you emulate something or someone, you imitate them because you admire them very much

2. simulate:

a. If you simulate a feeling or an action, you pretend that you are feeling it or doing it;

b. If you simulate an object, a substance, or a noise, you produce something that looks or sounds like it;

c. If you simulate a set of conditions, you reproduce these conditions, for example in order to conduct an experiment.

So the difference lies in:

a. for \"emulate\", there is feeling of admiration and you try to do as best as you can so that you can \"emulate\" it

b. for \"simulate\", there is no such feeling, it is natural and you just try to do or reproduce similiar things or actions

The difference is therefore whether there is a feeling of \"admiration\" or not.

In Chinese, more or less:

emulate  -- 比美

simulate -- 模拟
