One of the libraries in the Win2K IFS kit was shipped without being compiled with the MONOLITHIC precompile option, resulting in a small piece of code acting as if it was a non-monolithic mini-RDR. Problem Description: The RDR2 architecture can be structured in two ways, monolithic (where everything is in a single binary) and non-monolithic (where there is a separate driver for the RDBSS and the mini-RDR). The SMB mini-RDR is the only supported non-monolithic mini-RDR at this time. All other mini-RDR’s (especially 3rd party ones) are monolithic. One of the libraries in the Win2K IFS kit was shipped without being compiled with the MONOLITHIC precompile option, resulting in a small piece of code acting as if it was a non-monolithic mini-RDR. What Changed: The library was rebuilt with the correct PRECOMPILER option. No actual code changed. Both libraries were built simply to have a consistent pair.
